I’ll stop at nothing to ensure Dickson secures senatorial ticket – Fynman
TRACKING______An elder statesman and immediate past Special Adviser to the Government of Bayelsa state on Political Matters, Chief Fynman Wilson, has vowed to stop at nothing to ensure that former the governor, Seriake Dickson, secured the PDP ticket and is returned as senator to represent Bayelsa West senatorial district in the forthcoming bye-election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (lNEC) had declared the Bayelsa West senatorial district comprising Sagbama and Ekeremor local government areas vacant following the emergence of the Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo as deputy governor of the state.
Speaking in Yenagoa, Chief Wilson said he was convinced that his boss performed optimally during the eight years he served as governor of the oil-rich state, and therefore deserved to go to the national assembly to attract more development to his people.
He said he would lead the Bayelsa West senatorial campaign team for Dickson, and added that it would be difficult for any opponent to defeat the Toru-or born former governor “because his strides are hard to beat.”
Asked whether the election might not go the way of the November 16, 2019, governorship election where the All Progressives Congress (APC) swept the polls in the majority of the local governments, he alleged that the election was massively rigged, noting that there would be no such opportunity this time around.
“l am going to lead the campaigns and he (Dickson) is going to win massively because he has the grassroots support and he has done well. His strides are difficult to beat in this state.
“We will check all those things that happened during the last governorship election and make sure that rigging, falsification of results, those things will not all be allowed.
“We will check them bumper to bumper; whether it is military or militancy, it is not going to be allowed,” he said
