LOCKDOWN: NEPA Official Beaten, Injured in the eye for Distributing Bills and Planned Disconnection of Electricity Supply
TRACKING_____In Ogun State, despite the lockdown imbroglios, where people couldn’t go to work, screaming, crying for hungers.
An IBEDC staff identified as Mr Ayomide Olajide was beaten to stupor on Thursday by angry youths for distributing electricity Bills.
He was distributing this at Isale Igbeyin/Grammar School axis of Abeokuta in Ogun State., Abeokuta.
While Olajide narrating his ordeal, he said:
“I was busy distributing Bills to houses around Isale-Igbehin and Grammar School area of Abeokuta and I was attacked by a group of people asking me to stop the unnecessary distributing of bills, and before I could even explain to them they started throwing stones at me which affected my left eye.”
“I was badly beaten without pity for discharging my duty, even when my boss arrived at the scene to rescued me into her vehicle, a guy came and hit me on my left eye.”
