…SAYS ONLY ATIKU CAN DEFEAT BUHARI IN 2019, RESTORE AND GROW THE COLLAPSED NIGERIA ECONOMY.

The National Publicity Secretary of a political pressure group – Nigerians Asking For Atiku NAFA) and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr (Barrister) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has again stressed the need for PDP National delegates to vote overwhelmingly for the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Waziri Adamawa at the forthcoming convention slated for 6th and 7th October 2018, in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital.

NAFA Chief Publicist in a statement said no point beating around the bush which is why the truth must be said from the outset, adding that in terms of pedigree, experience, popularity and superb political structure in the six geopolitical zones, Atiku stands tall and far ahead any other presidential aspirant.

Oghenesivbe further noted that PDP cannot afford to gamble with the 2019 presidential election because the future of Nigerians and Nigeria, is dependent on it, pointing out that Nigerians are looking up to PDP and it’s leaders to rescue the nation from the socioeconomic and political disasters that APC national government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has regrettably plunged the country.

He posited that Atiku has shown sufficient committment to the restructuring of Nigeria as can be seen from his consistent advocacy, spanning many years, for regional government coupled with the detribalised leadership posture of the former Vice president.

“It is Crystal clear and glaring that Atiku is the most situable, credible and generally accepted presidential candidate of PDP for the 2019 presidential election. The party must never make the mistake of blowing up the apple opportunity of sacking Buhari in 2019, and the easiest step to achieve that noble goal is to ensure that Atiku emerges as the party’s candidate.

“APC under Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo has disappointed Nigerians because the party and it’s leaders have failed woefully to fulfil campaign promises made in 2015, and therefore lacked the political and moral justification to ask Nigerians to re-elect Buhari in 2019, going forward.

“Petrol subsidy increased since Buhari assumed office, inflation is on the rise, rate of joblessness has multiplied, power supply is worst than what it was in 2015, the Naira nose dived to a worthless value of N400 to $1 and pump price of petrol rose from N97 to N145, contrary to the promises made by the fast decaying APC national government.

“Buhari is the most unpopular president in the world due to his lack of visionary leadership occasioned by federal government’s analogue and clueless approach in dealing with issues relating to modern socioeconomic remodelling techniques which simply requires proactive steps for economic growth and development.

“NAFA strongly believe that Atiku is the best man for the job of President in 2019. He has excelled in both politics and business with chain of triving commercial undertakings in strategic sectors of the nation’s economy, and have employed thousands of Nigerians and as a result contributed immensely and still contributing to the growth and development of our nation’s economy.

“It is also truism that Atiku is highly detribalised with political associates and long standing cordial relationships with friends and business partners spread across the six geopolitical zones coupled with the fact that his wives strategically hails from Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo ethnic Wazobia nationalities; a deliberate attempt by the Waziri Adamawa to display his love for Nigeria’s unity in diversity.

“Atiku is also a man guided by the principles of equity which was why he fought so hard to stop the third ambition of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, a bold and fearless move required from leaders worthy of our trust and support.

“In the light of the above, coupled with other superb qualities of Atiku Abubakar, NAFA strongly recommend that PDP which is the largest party in Africa with unbeatable grassroots strucutres across Nigeria, should ensure that the former Vice President emerge as her 2019 presidential candidate,” Oghenesivbe added.
