Lalong stated this on Monday in Jos when he received General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigeria Army, Maj. Gen. Benson Akinroluyo in his office.

The governor said that the new security architecture has impacted positively on the State.

He expressed confidence that the state will benefit from the rich experience and knowledge of Gen Akinroluyo who had served in the State in various capacities before his appointment as the GOC.

“I know the General and we are confident that he’ll enrich our security infrastructure with his knowledge and experience.”

Gen. Akinroluyo assured the government and people of the State that the military will continue to play it’s constitutional responsibility in the best military tradition.

The new GOC appealed to Plateau resident to assist the security with information to serve them better.

“Security is a collective responsibility, collectively we will be able achieve the desired peace.”

He appealed to the governor to build the road that links the Maxwell Khobe Cantonment with Miangi community to reduce response time.
