SALGA Vice Chairman Pays A Surprise Visit To The Palace Of Chief Samuel Yekwe, Pledges Sponsorship Of 2020 Mein-Owei Oge

YENAGOA____The vice Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon. Emmanuel OKosikeme paid a unscheduled visit to the palace of the Amana-owei of Ogobiri community, Chief Samuel Yekwe.

The vice chairman while playing loyalty to the palace of Ogobiri community pledged to sponsor major programmes in the forthcoming MEIN-OWEI OGE.

He said “as a son the soil, it will be of utmost joy to celebrate with my fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and friends in times like this. This is my maternal home and were I grew up.

Hon. Okosikeme further reiterated that henceforth, the Royal Highness shouldn’t write a letter to him for sponsorship or financial assistance of any kind. Instead, he should as a father, just call him on phone and ask him whatever the community needs in his capacity and he is available to take full responsibility. As the vice chairman of the council and the son of the soil is my major responsibility to assist the community in of development, festivals assisting the youths in my little way to grow in their various endeavours and among others.

He also promised to sponsor an express traditional wrestling match, a musician and a football tournament.

While reacting to the vice chairman, Chief Samuel felt elated and appreciated him for his kind gestures.

“I have always known you to be a philanthropist since you were with us in this village. You have done this yearly for us and I need to pray for you with all sincerity that God should shower his abundance blessings to all you do. To this effect, I will collaborate with my Council of Chiefs, elders and the Ama-okosi-owei to award you a befitting Royal title worthy of your good deeds to Ogobiri and Mein clan at large.”
