Saraki, Ahmed, Emir Mourn Sheikh Al- Korowy

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, Kwara state governor, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed and the Emir of Ilorin, Alh Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari have mourned the death of an Ilorin- based renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abdullahi Kudus Al- Korowy.

Saraki in his twitter handle described the demise of Ak- Korowy as a great loss to the Muslim World.

He commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin and the entire Ilorin Emirate community over the demise of the popular cleric whom he described as a great scholar and philanthropist per excellence.

Governor Ahmed in a condolence message said the vacuum created by the death of Ak- Korowy would be difficult to fill.

He described the deceased as a great scholar who impacted positively on the lives of many people and the community during his life time.

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, expressed shock over the death of Al-Korowy.

The monarch in his condolence message issued by the National Secretary of Shehu Alimi foundation for peace and development, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, described the cleric’s death as a colossal loss to humanity.

He said that Al- Korowy will always be remembered for his wise counsels, commitments and sacrifices to the propagation of Arabic and Islamic education in the Ilorin emirate and beyond.and sacrifices to the propagation of Arabic and Islamic education in the Ilorin emirate and beyond.

While commiserating with the immediate family of the deceased, the Emir confirmed that “Sheikh Korowy was a devout Muslim, community leaders, philanthropist and family man. His death is a greater of loss to us all.”

He prayed Allah to grant him Al-janatul firdaos and give the entire people of Ilorin Emirate and nation at large the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
