‘You can’t loot my wife’s office, shop and go Scot free’ – Okorocha’s in-law, Uche Nwosu

TRACKING>>It is so glaring that the war between past and present Governors of Imo State, Okorocha and Ihedioha has extended to family members too.

It was reported that few days ago, some members of the Imo Committee on Recovery of Government Properties stormed a shopping mall owned by Uloma Rochas-Nwosu, daughter of Rochas Okorocha, former governor of the state.
The incidence which happened at night was at a mall, House of Freeda, which is located in Owerri, the state capital.

It was gathered that carted away some property believed to be owned by the state government.

In addition, a branded vehicle belonging to Reach FM, a radio station, suspected to be owned by a member of the Okorocha’s family, was reportedly impounded.
This happened after the Imo committee on recovery had alleged that officials of the Okorocha administration looted the government’s property worth N50 billion.

The committee head, Ndubuaku had said the committee was in possession of the names and contacts of all those said to have looted the property, asking them to return the government’s assets without further delay.

According to him: “If after this appeal and they still remain adamant, we will be compelled to unleash the dragon, mobilise all concerned Imo indigenes to assist us to recover these missing items and if the worst comes, we will criminalise the matter,” he had said.

Meanwhile, Uloma’s husband who is also a grounded politician in the state, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu had this to say: “Looting my wife’s office and shop in disguise of recovery is a criminal act! hope the perpetrators are fully aware of the consequences..”
