Zuofa Calls on Bayelsa State govt to Intervene on manpower reduction in the state hospitals.

Dr Zuofa Egberipou calls on the attention of the Bayelsa State Health commissioner, Dr Pabara Igwele, to solve the challenges of reduced manpower across the state Hospitals in the state.

With the rising cases of Covid 19 and other health challenges confronting the health sector in the state, it is of note that the crisis of reduced man Power should be addressed to forstall impeding crisis in the health sector.

Dr Zuofa Egberipou said ‘ I am calling on the Commissioner of Health, Dr Pabara Igwele, to use his good office to make sure the issue of reduced manpower across the Hospitals in the state is solved.

Hospitals are short staffed. We now use Corper medical doctors,scientist and pharmacist to ameliorate the shortage of man power.. He stated.
Dr Zuofa Egberipou further reteiriated that the state needs to employ more medical doctors and other health workers. The shortage of man power is affecting efficient health delivery.

He stated that Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, which is the foremost state teaching Hospital is mostly affected.

We have Bayelsa State trained medical doctors who are languishing in Private Hospitals, doing jobs that are not befitting of a medical doctor and constrained in bad working environment in these private Hospitals, whereas, hospitals owned by Bayelsa state
need these doctors to increase our man power..

We need these doctors to be employed to help make health delivery more efficient, He said.
