•••Authenticates & Validates His Membership In People’s Democratic Party (PDP)

The Federal High court of Nigeria, Yenagoa Judicial Division held at Yenagoa today 17th of March, 2021 Struck out case with Suit No: FHC/YNG/CS/61/2020 Seeking to disqualify Rt. Hon Monday Bubou Edwin Obolo as a Member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Court strick’s out suit on the grounds that The Plaintiffs lacks locus standing to institute such action against the Defendants.

Recalled that Rt. Hon. Monday-Bubou Edwin Obolo was earlier disqualified by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Bye-Election Screening Panel with respect to the Senatorial Bye-Election and was later cleared by the Appeal Penal and issued certificate to contest the By-election. Following from the earlier disqualification by the screening Panel, the Plaintiffs went to court to seek his seat declared vacant without minding the later Appeal Penal’s report and position.

Therefore, the Suit was struck out on the Aforementioned grounds and the Court Also awards a Punitive Cost of the sum N100,000.00 Only (Hundred thousand Naira) against the Plaintiffs, severely in favour of the Defendants for deliberately wasting the very scarce judicial time of the Honourable Court and the Defendants respectively. Punitive cost to be paid in 7days.
