The lawmaker representing Birnin Kudu/Buji constituency in Jigawa State, Magaji Da’u Aliyu has cried out for more support from the governments and individuals for the victims of flood.

The lawmaker said the flood victims are in need of more support and assistance from the government as well as good-spirited individuals.

It was reported that the flood in Jigawa State has killed over 100 people and displaced thousands of families and thousands of farmland submerged.

While sympathizing with the victims the lawmaker said the government alone can not cater to all the needs of the victims and that support from individuals is needed to cushion the effect of the disaster.

He said the devastating effect of the flood is enormous and the victims are in dire need of assistance.

He also prayed the Almighty Allah to grant eternal rest to those who lost their lives and also prevent such occurrences in the future
