FG To Lose N90M As Railway Workers Embark On 3-day Warning Strike

Workers of the Nigerian Railway Corporation have embarked on a three-day warning strike today November 18.

The Federal government is set to lose N90 million.

The peaceful protest is currently ongoing at Idu Station in Abuja.

The workers are demanding among other things better welfare of staff, enhanced salary, better working environment, payment of their promotional arrears, demolition of their staff quarters among other grievances.

Angry rail workers ensured the gates to the NRC train platform as well as the premises of the corporation were securely locked, leaving so many passengers stranded today.
