Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide has condemned the Yoruba Nation agitators’ attack on Nigerian Army personnel.

The incident occurred last Thursday in Ogun State’s Oju Ore area, along the Sango-Idiroko road.

Ilana Omo Oodua, the organization’s spokesperson, stated on Sunday that those who confronted the military were unknown to the organization.

Professor Banji Akintoy’s self-determination group claimed it was not consulted and was not involved in the demonstration.

Olatunde Amusat, General Secretary, claimed that the attack was “sponsored by reactionary elements to tarnish the image of the Yoruba movement for liberation.”

According to the scribe, the body represents a peaceful agitation free of violence and destruction.

“We condemn the attackers’ actions and distance ourselves from them.” The perpetrators of the attack are neither our members nor affiliates.

“We were also not involved in the rally’s planning or execution.” As a result, the attackers are on their own,” he explained.

Amusat charged security agencies with conducting thorough investigations and pursuing the perpetrators.

An eyewitness told Track News over the weekend that people scurried for safety after troops were called to the scene.

“I was there around 4 p.m., and people were running in all directions.” The soldiers returned in full force and surrounded Oju Ore.

“They searched the men at random while looking for the boys.” We later learned that the mob had stolen one of the soldiers’ guns.

“I was able to get to my destination near Iyana Bus Stop after the situation became less tense,” the citizen added.

According to a resident, the Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, went to the scene to make peace but was advised by senior officers to return to his palace.
