•••Attributes 2-time court victory to hand of God

TRACKING____The immediate past Commissioner for Education and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Hon. (Dr.) Jonathan Obuebite has described a 2- time victory of Senator Douye Diri and Senator Lawrence Ewhrujapko at the Supreme court as the miracle of God.

Hon. (Dr.) Obuebite in a congratulatory statement said that the victory which had already been established in heaven was a clear indication that Governor Douye Diri, Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor and the entire good people of Bayelsa State are in God’s plan.

The statement reads, “I have never seen such victory before, in spite of all that was done by the ruling opposition Party to silence the will of God and the people, yet we were vindicated”.

“Like I have always said “ who on earth can battle with the Lord”, you already know the answer, Your Excellencies I want to use this opportunity to glorify God who has done this good thing for us all and also congratulate you on this God given victory, Obuebite said “.

The former commissioner used the opportunity to condole with the families of all who lost their lives in the course of ethroning good governance, lasting and enduring democratic rule that they did not die in vain as their dream has come to reality. Even in death, they are champions.

He added that the Supreme Court judgement upholding its decision of nullifying the election of David Lyon as Governor-elect of Bayelsa state and reconfirmed Douye Diri as winner of the November 2019 governorship election has indeed shown the resolve and firmness of the Judiciary to defend and protect our democracy and sustain the independence of the Judiciary at all times.

Obuebite further congratulated the immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson for his doggedness, steadfastness and resolve to uphold and lead the Party to victory.
