A die hard follower of former Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state, Alhaji Aminu Danbuba has revealed that the former Governor Abdulaziz Yari may dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, if he didn’t win the national chairmanship of the party.

Speaking with newsmen in Gusau, the State capital, the politician said he would not be surprised if former Governor Abdulaziz Yari dumps the APC.

According to him, former Governor Yari has not made his intension known to his followers but there was every indication to that effect.

“He is our political leader, and whichever party he decamps to, we must follow him,” he added.

The politician said that the former Governor already has an issue to settle with the national headquarters of the party over imposition of leadership in the State’s chapter of the party.

He noted that the former Governor would not want to accept defeat over his faction’s loss at the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau, the State capital.

However, Danbuba commended the courage of former Governor Yari for going to court, pointing out that he did that to defend democracy in the State.

Danbuba said that if everyone kept quiet over the issue of democracy, the system would not strive in country.
