Everton boss, Frank Lampard, has given an update on midfielder James Garner after Manchester United decided to cash in on the player.

Man United raised a few eyebrows with their decision to cash in on Garner before the summer transfer window closed.

Many fans were keen for Garner to be given a first-team shot, but new Man United manager Erik ten Hag opted to make him available for a permanent move elsewhere.

Everton swooped to sign Garner on deadline day for a fee that could rise to £15 million.

Despite the big-money move, Garner has yet to appear for his new club
