FREE SKILLS ACQUISITION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN AND YOUTH IN ODI: TELSWAY Foundation empowers over 170 women, youths with new skills, starter packs

In line with the Assured Prosperity Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri, the Founder of Telsway Foundation, Mrs. Josephine Ketebu-Thompson, has provided training to over 170 women including youths from Odi community, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area to acquire new skills in different areas of trades.
At a ceremony to mark the end of the 6 weeks skills acquisition programme in Odi and distribution of starter packs to all the trainees, Mrs. Ketebu-Thompson, said the Prosperity Administration under Governor Diri, would continue to make impact on the lives of people across the communities and improve their livelihoods.
The beneficiaries were trained in various skills, including liquid soap and chemicals making, palm oil production, catering, hair dressing and wigging.
The beneficiaries were also presented with certificates of participation.
The beneficiaries of the free skill acquisition programme expressed their profound gratitude to Mrs. Josephine Ketebu-Thompson, Governor Douye Diri and Telsway Foundation, for providing the platform that is transforming lives.
They commended the comprehensive training, which has equipped them with invaluable skills to secure a brighter future.
Many beneficiaries highlighted how the initiative has empowered them to become self-reliance and contribute meaningfully to their families.
In attendance at the ceremony were Barr. Ann Inoru, Vice chairman of Kolokuma/Opokuma L.G.A, Mrs. Patience Ketebu and other top government functionaries.
