Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Minna— The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has confirmed four deaths and ten injuries in a single accident in Zanchita village on the Bida-Kutugi Road in Niger’s Bida Local Government Area.

Mr Kumar Tsukwam, the state’s FRSC Sector Commander, said yesterday in Minna that the crash involved a commercial bus with the license plate BNK 342 XA, carrying 14 passengers.

Tsukwam said the lone accident happened yesterday around 9:25 a.m., and four passengers died at the scene.

“The injured victims were rescued and taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida for medical treatment, while the bodies were deposited at the mortuary,” he said.

The commander blamed the accident on excessive speed, diversion and loss of control.
