Jesutega Onokpasa, a lawyer and chieftain of the APC, has expressed his willingness to welcome Governor Sim Fubara into his party, the APC. He said there was no conflict between Fubara and President Tinubu and that Fubara is like a “son” to Tinubu.
Onokpasa made this statement during an interview with Arise TV, while speaking about the defection of Rivers State lawmakers from PDP to APC amid the political crisis between Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike in the State. He also said that he is not against Fubara and does not support Wike in the conflict between them.
In Onokpasa’s words: “I will love to welcome Fubara to my party, APC, he doesn’t have any problem with Tinubu, he is Tinubu’s son. I am not against him and I am not going to take sides with Wike against him. Even when he was talking about his budget, he referenced President Tinubu’s Hope Agenda so I will even love to welcome Fubara to my party but everybody should know the consequences of decamping
