Funke Akindele reintroduces ‘Jenifa’ with new series ‘Everybody loves Jenifa’

Award-winning actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, celebrated for her iconic television comedy series “Jenifa’s Diary,” has disclosed plans for a thrilling new installment in the beloved franchise.
The mother of two shared the exciting news of the movie relaunch on her social media, signaling the long-awaited return of the beloved character Jenifa to the screens.
In her recent post on Instagram, Funke teased fans, remarking, “It has been a long you saw Jenifa,” hinting at the reappearance of the endearing and comical character.”
Captioning the post, Funke wrote: “It has been a long you saw Jenifa.

“Everybody Loves Jenifa’ is part of the Jenifa franchise which tells the tale of a naive and funny character of the same name.”
Recall that the franchise’s popularity soared with the release of the sequel “Return of Jenifa” in 2011, cementing Jenifa’s status as a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
In addition to the main series, the Jenifa franchise has expanded its universe through successful spin-offs like “Aiyetoro Town” (2019, 18 episodes), which explored Jenifa’s village life, and “Jenifa on Lockdown” (2021).
