Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has stated that the selection of former Borno State Governor Kashim Shatimma as Bola Tinubu’s running mate will ensure the APC’s victory in the 2023 general elections.
Despite being among those nominated for the VP position by the APC Southern governors, Ganduje congratulated Senator Shetima on becoming the party’s vice-presidential candidate.
In a statement released by the commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, Ganduje described Shetima as highly intelligent and well-prepared for the office of vice president.
Shettima, according to Ganduje, played a significant role in drawing attention to his qualification, ability, and expertise during the pre-presidential primary campaign because they share common experiences.
He stated that he believes the former two-term governor of Borno State is a strong candidate who can work with the presidential candidate to advance Nigeria.
The Governor praised the APC’s flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, for selecting Shetima, and described the pairing as a guarantee of the party’s electoral victory.
Ganduje also urged Nigerians, particularly APC members, to rally behind the party’s presidential candidate and running mate to ensure their success.
