Gbajabiamila Responds to Wike’s ‘Choke Them’ Proclamation

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has responded to Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike’s threat to ‘choke’ certain people.
According to Track News, Gbajabiamila responded to the statement on Friday when he inaugurated the official quarters for Rivers House of Assembly members.

Wike had invited Gbajabiamila to the unveiling of his administration’s legislative quarters.

Gbajabiamila, who said he had to cancel his vacation in the United States to attend the inauguration, then encouraged the River State governor to go ahead and choke whoever he wants.

He also courted the governor of Rivers State, saying he is “destined” to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Let me begin by thanking the Governor, my friend and brother, for confessing to everyone that you plotted against me. It’s an irony of life, and a very interesting twist of fate, that those he sat with to plot against me are the same people who sat together to plot against you at your primary. So, plotting is not necessarily a new phenomenon in politics, but what remains constant is that in politics, there are no permanent enemies or permanent friends, only permanent interest. And by God’s grace, this one that you’ve begun, this journey that you and I both know will be permanent. Please strangle them. “I told them to choke.”

The governor, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has hosted APC members in recent days, inviting them to inaugurate projects in the state.
