GEJ leads massive PDP rally for Atiku in Sokoto

– Former president, Goodluck Jonathan, and other top members of the PDP, converge at Kangiwa square in Sokoto state for a massive PDP rally

– Other dignitaries at the PDP event are former deputy governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Muntari Shagari, chairmen of PDP in the seven states in the zone as well as members of state Houses of Assembly elected on the platform of the PDP and all leaders of the party in the zone

– The national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, and other speakers who addressed the crowd called for the party members to vote out the Muhammadu Buhari administration

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan, and other top members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), joined thousands of supporters on Monday, December 3, in Sokoto for the launch of the northwest zonal campaign of the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Abubakar was earlier scheduled to arrive Sokoto for the rally at noon, but arrived the city at 2pm and proceeded to the Kangiwa square along with other stalwarts of the party.

Those who came in company of the candidate are officials of the party from the seven states in the northwest comprising Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano and Kaduna.

Among the dignitaries present are: former deputy governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Muntari Shagari, chairmen of PDP in the seven states in the zone as well as members of State Houses of Assembly elected on the platform of the PDP and all leaders of the party in the zone.

The campaign was moderated by Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi west senatorial district, who was recently appointed as one of the eight spokespersons of party.

The national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, and other speakers who addressed the crowd called for the party members to vote out the Muhammadu Buhari administration
