Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo, has pledged to offer a reward of N50,000 to anyone who offers information that results in the state’s kidnappers and other offenders being apprehended.

After the weekly State Executive Council, he spoke via the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju.

According to him, the action was taken to encourage residents to provide pertinent and timely information on criminal activity in any area of the state.

“From now on, everyone who reports a crime and we follow the trail, and it results in a successful conviction of the culprit, that person will be granted a prize of N50,000,” Akeredolu said.

“We encourage residents of Ondo state to report suspicious activity when they notice it. In order to purge Ondo State of criminals, bandits, and terrorists, we want our people to take an active role in security.

“The free phone number is 0800-555-5555. Anyone can contact to report any illegal activity in their neighborhood as well as security tips.

He claimed that everyone who reported or provided useful information about criminal activity in his region would be protected by the authorities.
