Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has applauded the federal government for approving the rehabilitation of the Buni Gari-Gulani road devastated by floods.

Buni, through his spokesperson Mamman Mohammed, described the kind gesture as a huge relief to the government, the affected and business communities plying the road.

He said the rehabilitation of the 90-kilometre road would also revive socio-economic activities severely affected by the destroyed road.

“The approval of N4 billion for rehabilitation of the road with a completion period of 36 months gives the people of the state a sense of belonging.

“We are proud of this commitment and would support the execution of the project in the interest of our people and the business community visiting the state from within and outside the state”, Buni said
