The PDP Gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election in Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri takes campaign rally to Ayama, Emadike and Otuokpoti communities in Ogbia Constituency Two.
He was accompanied by his running mate and Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
The rally witnessed massive turnout from political leaders, elders, youths and women across the constituency.
In their various remarks, Senator Benson Agadaga, Hon. Mitema Obordor, Hon. Robert Enogha and Hon. Federal Otokito, they assured the governor that Ogbia Constituency Two will vote massively for PDP.
They appreciated the governor for the developmental projects he brought to the Constituency including the ongoing Akaba-Okodi road, Onuegbum-Otuoke road, renovation of the health centre, provision of pipe-borne water and construction of internal roads.
A joyful Governor Douye Diri commended the people of Ogbia Constituency Two for standing by his government and party, PDP.
“On behalf of the Deputy Governor, my running mate and the whole campaign team, we want to thank you all for the warm reception. You are a happy people. I love you all.
Politics is not to carry guns and give to innocent youths to kill people. Politics is not to kill people. Politics is for development. When the flood ravaged your land, we came to your town and brought palliatives. Those who say they want to be governor today, didn’t come to you. They were in Abuja earning huge sums of money but forgot to bring anything for your town. They were governor for five years, they didn’t bring development to Ogbia land. But today, we are bringing a road from Akaba down to Okodi and Emadike. The Otuoke-Onuegbum road was destroyed, today that road is almost completed. Elebele bridge was cut off. We have built that bridge at Elebele. We also completed the Imiringi bridge.
My dear people of Ogbia Constituency Two, we actually came to celebrate with you. We didn’t come to campaign. Because you have already done everything for us. And we assure you, when you return us for a second term, we will do more for Ogbia land.”
Dignitaries at the campaign really include Senator Friday Konbowei Benson, Hon. Fred Agbedi, Hon. Marie Ebikake, Dr. Daniel Woyengikuro, PDP National Financial Secretary, Bayelsa PDP State Chairman, Hon. Solomon Agwana and other top government and party officials.
