GOV OKOWA TO ATTEND URHOBO NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION, FRIDAY 30TH NOVEMBER, 2018 AT PTI CONFERENCE CENTRE, EFFURUN.

The Ochuko R’ Urhobo Nation and Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Senator Dr Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and top members of his cabinet as well as senior political appointees will join thousands of Urhobo Sons and Daughters at the 2018 Urhobo National Day Celebration, taking place tomorrow Friday 30th November 2018 at PTI Conference Centre, Effurun, Delta State.

Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications and founding President of Agbon Peace and Economic Transformation Initiative (APETRI), Dr (Barrister) Fred Oghenesivbe in a statement said his boss the governor is in high spirit and warming up to join the President General of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Olorogun (Brother) Moses Taiga, Urhobo Council of Traditional Rulers and captains of industry from all walks of life, notable politicians and invited dignitaries at the PTI Conference Hall, Effurun from 10am.

He further disclosed that Gov Okowa holds the Urhobo Nation of Delta Central Senatorial District in high esteem which is why the governor will personally grace the event as Ochuko R’Urhobo and Executive Guest of Honour, adding that the Urhobo National Day is a key event in UPU annual calendar, and shall attract attendees from across the country and UPU Branches from United Kingdom, United States of America, Europe, Asia, Africa and around the globe.

“It is important that all political appointees of Urhobo extraction from Delta Central should attend this all important UPU national programme especially to exhibit the rich culture and tradition of Urhobo people as it was in the beginning with improved cultural blend; and at the same time showcase Urhobo Nation to the world,” Oghenesivbe added.

Dignitaries expected at the UPU unique event includes; Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Secretary to Delta State Government, Rt Hon Festus Agas, Political Adviser to PDP National Chairman, Chief Ighoyota Amori, 2019 Delta Central PDP Candidate, Hon Barrister Evelyn Oboro, and other prominent Urhobo sons and daughters across board.
