Today I decided to x-ray Governor Douye Diri’s exploits in the health sector. The article that precedes this piece was centered on infrastructural development.
Good health is central to human happiness and well-being that contributes significantly to Prosperity and wealth and even economic progress,as healthy populations are more productive.
His Excellency Sen Douye Diri is leaving no sector of his administration behind, every sector is as important as the other which is the main reason why those of us that are closely monitoring the system have never lacked words in defending the Prosperity Administration. HE Diri’s achievements in the health sector within his first term in office is one worthy of commendation.
In order to ins construction and completion of the new Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme (BHIS) building was a gesture occasioned by a conscious decision of providing a high standard health care delivery service.
The world-class Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme building houses a first-class health care delivery service.
To ensure that every citizen has access to good healthcare services, various programs have been developed to cover different segments of society. Today, the scheme is opened to the general public, just as the Federal Government used to subsidize fuel that brought much relief to the citizenry so health has been subsidized in Bayelsa State.
If health is truly wealth, His Excellency Governor Douye Diri has made everyone living in Bayelsa State wealthy. He has given both the rich and the poor equal access to quality health care delivery service which has gone a long way to improving the living standards and overall well-being of those who have keyed in and subscribed to the scheme.
Also, the health sector is well funded and issues of health workers’ strikes that plagued other administrations have been seriously curtailed;all workers are paid as at when due and all their demands are met at any given point in time. If you haven’t subscribed to the Bayelsa State Health Insurance Scheme, I implore you to do so now for purposes of unforeseen contingencies.
Governor Douye Diri cares for Bayelsa and Bayelsans, he is a Godsent, the right man at the right time for the number one seat in the state. SDD deserves a second term in office, SDD must be encouraged to do more. Those who have continually maimed and frustrated Nigerians at the centre can not send their agents to come and destroy the peace and easy life Bayelsans are experiencing. They should focus on apologizing to Nigerians for the hardship and insecurity that they imported into the system.
Bayelsa is okay with Diri, and Diri is okay with Bayelsans. I don’t know what some persons forgot in Creek Haven that they are desperately seeking access to. Creek Haven is not a hideout, it is a place for serious-minded people that are bent on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
