THE Advocacy For Good Governance has beamed its search light on the financial records of the Brass LGA under the supervision of Victor Isaiah.

In a baseline robust study done in the administration of Mr Ngo Sylva, it was revealed that more than 210 taxable firms operate in Brass LGA. Most of the firms operating in Brass are either crude oil producing or oil servicing companies.

Available records show that Mr. Victor Isaiah has collected taxes up to the tune of about one billion naira from the firms operating in the LGA.

Records made available to us revealed that NAOC and Conoil alone have paid over N200 million in taxes to Mr. Isaiah. Some of these firms, were paid directly into the chairman’s bank accounts.

While the chairman has not provided tangible dividends of democracy in any part of the LGA, available records show he is busy building a 34-room hotel in Yenagoa. Pictures and the land documents shall be made available to buttress our point in our subsequent releases.

The chairman has used more than 18 million naira he collected from one of the crude oil firms (Agip) as tax, to buy a posh car for himself (and in his name) this is just one instance of Mr. Victor’s financial malfeasance.

Part of the internally generated revenue that accrues to the LGA, is also been used to sustain the Bayelsa State PDP executives and some so-called defectors (who are mostly ex- militants). Names of the non Brass LGA politicians Mr. Isaiah is plundering the resources of Brass LGA to feed shall be made available to the press soon.

We have made available to the anti-graft agencies (ICPC and EFCC) documents we have obtained to validate our claims of impropriety against the caretaker chairman, hence, soon he would be invited for a “chat” The details of Victor Isaiah’s fraudulent WAEC certificate will also be made public next week too.
