A political support group, ‘YES4ATIKU2019’ said that it has commenced a nationwide mobilisation exercise to ensure that the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar becomes Nigeria president in 2019.

In an interview with LEADERSHIP in Abuja yesterday, the national coordinator of the group, Anthony Ojei, stated that what Nigeria needs at the moment is a leader with credibility that can give a direction and bring Nigerians out of the present quagmire, adding that such a person is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“We need a leader that can give a direction and bring us out of this present quagmire and has the vision and capacity to lead. And the person that has such credibility is the person of Atiku Abubakar, given his experience.”

Ojei maintained that the PDP presidential candidate also has the focus and capability to revive the economy, boost Nigeria’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and ensure security of lives and properties.

He noted that although the present regime has tried its best within the last three and half years, but it has equally failed to bring out something tangible that would give direction to the situation of Nigeria, adding that Nigeria, at the moment.that would give direction to the situation of Nigeria, adding that Nigeria, at the moment.

The national coordinator explained that the vision and mission of the group was to ensure that character, competence and credibility are restored in 2019, by voting wisely and voting in the right direction.

He continued: “Our vision and aim was driven by the fact that the present situation on ground in Nigeria is not what we can accommodate anymore. It is a passion to ensure that Nigeria is restored back to a working part, in a direction that would give our children and children yet unborn hope to see that the narratives of the present dispensation are put aside.”
