Edo State Government has stated that abducted passengers at the Tom Ikimi/Ekehen station in Igueben on Saturday were 20 and not 32 as widely reported.

Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said seven of the abductees have been rescued, leaving 13 victims still with the gunmen.

Nehikhare told reporters security agents, vigilance members and hunters were on the heels of the AK-47-wielding gunmen.

He assured they will be rescued unhurt and without payment of ransom.
