Prof. Seiyefa Gives Back to Society
Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe has provided free medical outreach for hundreds of persons in Bayelsa State, with his pet programme called “Prof. Seiyefa Outreach”.
The free medical outreach was done at the premises of his facility “Family Care Hospital”, at the AIT/Elebele road in Yenagoa Local Government Area, on Monday climaxed with cutting of the anniversary cake on Tuesday, with an elaborate party for all.
The free medical outreach is to mark the 5th year anniversary of Family Care Hospital and the 6th edition of the Prof. Seiyefa Outreach.
According to Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe, there is need for the people to be checked for any health challenges because he knows there are lots of persons that are vulnerable which made him to come with the free medical outreach for the people to live well and healthy and that the free medical outreach started when he turned fifty
“It is a covenant I have made to be doing this every year, to take this free medical outreach to people that are vulnerable”, Prof. Seiyefa said.
“The first two surgical cases seen will be done free of charge”, he said.
Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe said the medical outreach is to take care of the health need of the people and to check and treat them for other ailments and that he will not toy with the health need of the people as it is one of his corporate social responsibility as Government cannot do it all alone.
He said since the inception of the free medical outreach they have not gotten any grant from anywhere as the programme is funded by Prof. Seiyefa Outreach and Family Care Hospital, but that they have volunteers who are always helping out.
“In the 7th edition of this outreach we will seek support so as to make it bigger and better by taking it to the hinterland”, Prof. Seiyefa Brisebe added.
HRH Gabriel Ekezei, paramount ruler of Opolo-Epie, heaps encomium on Prof. Seiyefa Brisebe for his kind gesture bringing the free medical outreach to the people and expressed surprise at the massive turnout of people for the exercise, and pray God to grant the Prof. longer life to continue his good works.
Senior Apostle Dr. Michael Makpa, Secretary Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bayelsa State Chapter, said Prof. Seiyefa Brisebe has shown capacity by bringing the free medical outreach to the people and that “This is a welcome development and prayed for God to sustain Prof. Seiyefa Brisebe and his family to do more for the State”.
Some of the recipients said they have not seen anything like this, that a man running his private business embarking on a laudable project as to touching people’s health positively is overwhelming.
