The Statistician-General of the federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Prince Semiu Adeyemi Adeniran, has advised Nigerians to cooperate with enumerators who will be collecting data from them during the forthcoming National Living Standard Survey (NLSS).

Adeniran made this appeal on Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State while declaring open training of enumerators for the 2022/2023 NLSS.

Adeniran appealed to respondents and households selected for data collection during the survey to cooperate with the enumerators to know the impact of the recent floods, poverty and unemployment rate in the country.

He noted that the data that would be collected during the survey is required for the government to make important socio-economic decisions that affect Nigerians.

He assured that the information provided during this exercise will only be used to compute poverty and welfare indicators to inform the government and the public.

He said the survey would help to reveal major socio-economic problems affecting the citizens such as poverty, unemployment, subsidy and flood and how the government can proffer solutions.

He said, “We are here today to kickstart the training of enumerators that will be collecting data in the NLSS survey. This survey will be collected for a period of 12 months
