TRACKING __There was an exhilarating atmosphere in Amassoma today as the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw LGA, Chief (Hon) Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria, accompanied by his amiable Vice Chairman, Evang. Parkins Ogede, visited for inspection of four (4) ongoing major Internal Concrete Road Projects in the 3 Wards of Amassoma (Ward 9, 10 and 11).
While moving across all the project sites, Chief Kia charged all contractors and supervisors to maintain standards and also up their game by delivering within the specified timeframe for each project. He equally commended the level of work done so far, while pledging to do his best in the overall interest of the LGA.
He further said “We are only embarking on people oriented priority projects in consultation with indigenes and leaders of the various communities. We will not impose any project on the people. Let me equally assure you that my administration will continue to consolidate and execute projects, programmes and policies that will better the living condition of our people in the locality.”
The Chairman equally appreciated the State Government for sanitizing the local government system and also ensuring that the Councils operate independently.
Meanwhile, indigenes and leaders of Amassoma has also commended Chief (Hon) Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria, for executing multiple projects at a time in their community. According to them, this is the first time multiple projects are being executed at the same time frame and all are done according to standard and expectation. They also prayed for the success of his government and also encouraged him to continue with his good works.
The ongoing road projects include:
1. Construction of 100M*6m Concrete Road in Goin-ama Amassoma Ward 9
2. Construction of 100M*6m Concrete Road in Okulobo-ama Amassoma Ward 10
3. Construction of 100M*6m Concrete Road in Efeke-ama Amassoma Ward 11
4. Construction/Completion of 400M Concrete Roundabout Link Road Amassoma
