Hon. Azibapu Fred Obua, Member of the 9th House of Representatives, Ogbia Federal Constituency, has expressed gratitude to the Constituents of Ogbia Federal Constituency; former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan; former Bayelsa Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West in the National Assembly, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson; Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State as well as the Peoples Democratic Party for the honour done him to successfully serve as Member of the 9th House of Representatives for Ogbia Federal Constituency.
Hon Fred Obua who also appreciates his Family, Colleagues, Ogbia Monarchs and Traditional Rulers, Chiefs and Elders, Women, Youths and his Aides for the abiding solidarity, hail God Almighty for the privilege which enabled him to have immensely contributed to the development of the Federal Constituency and Society.
Hon Fred Obua, in his valedictory remarks, expressed satisfaction over his sponsorship of People-oriented Bills, presentation of Motions as well as facilitation of projects and programmes including but not limited to Emeyal Clan Youths Secretariat, Classrooms’ Blocks with ICT Centre, Roads’ infrastructure, Sports Spectators’ Pavillions, Provision Solar-powered Street lights and portable Water, Distribution of educational and Entrepreneurship empowerment materials.
Hon Fred Obua, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, who was Director in the Federal/State Civil Services and Honourable Commissioner for Special Projects before his election as Member of the 9th House of Representatives, hinted that the experience he has garnered over the years has better equipped him to further live a life of service.
Hon Fred Obua who stated that Governance and Representation is a long distance race, called on Bayelsans to continue to support Gov. Douye Diri and Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for the shared prosperity of the State.
Hon Fred Obua also used the opportunity to felicitate with the newly-inaugurated Members of the 7th Bayelsa State House of Assembly as well as the 10th National Assembly, wishing them well.
