It is with great pleasure that I write to congratulate my friend and former colleague Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, on his election as the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli’s message of congratulations to Abass was contained in a statement made available to newsmen today, shortly after the news of the outcome of the House Representatives’ election as Speaker
According to the statement by Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, “Your landslide victory in the just concluded election into the office of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives is a testament of your interpersonal relations, strength of character, and immense contributions to Nigeria through the numerous people-centred bills, motions, and contributions at plenary sessions over the years.
I do not doubt your capacity to lead the 10th House of Representatives in putting the interest of Nigerians above all else as the interest of your people has always been accorded the topmost priority, which I am sure would be replicated with Nigeria being your new constituency.”
