In a disturbing turn of events, an employee has allegedly bludgeoned his employer to death with a pestle over an unpaid salary of N300,000. The suspect, whose name is yet to be disclosed, claimed that the victim owed him six months’ worth of salary and refused to pay despite several pleas.
According to reports, the suspect lured his boss to a remote location under the pretense of a business-related activity. There, he allegedly murdered him in cold blood using a pestle, a blunt kitchen instrument, and abandoned the body in the bush.
However, what seemed like a perfect crime quickly unraveled. Sources say the suspect was arrested shortly after the crime, and it was Karma at work — the same fate he tried to inflict on another eventually caught up with him. His attempt to flee or conceal the crime failed, and he was tracked down by law enforcement officers.
He is currently in police custody and will face prosecution. As the investigation continues, authorities have assured that justice will be served.
