Barrister Festus Daumiebi Sunday, Bayelsa State Governorship Aspirant of the APC, 2023 and also the APC Senatorial Candidate for Bayelsa Central Senatorial District in the 2019 General Elections has described as malicious and baseless rumour making the rounds that he is planning to leave the party.

Barrister Festus said it is just a figment of the imaginations of those carrying fake news and that they don’t mean well for Bayelsa State APC.

According to Barrister Festus, he is a typical, strong and bonafide member of the APC and that some members of his party are in Abuja orchestrating to induce his Southern Ijaw ward 12 executives to announce his illegal suspension from the All Progressives Congress.

He called on those peddling the fake news to stop and urged the public to discountenance the story, and that he is a true party man of the APC and that the smear campaign against him in order to find justification for their planned satanic suspension will not come to fruition.

He reiterated that he is a founding and committed member of the APC who has worked assiduously for the growth of the Party in Bayelsa State and beyond and that he have not in private or in the open communicated to anyone of his intention to leave the great Party he has worked so hard to contribute to its pillars in Bayelsa State for any other party.

Barrister Festus Daumiebi said he cannot be forced out of the party by any individual or group of persons no matter how highly placed as the All Progressive Congress is a party founded on the principle of the rule of law and democratic ethos.

He added that the Bayelsa State APC has suffered so much divisions and that no well-meaning member of the party in the state should take any step that will further cause disaffection in the State chapter, especially as they draw closer to the November 11th Gubernatorial Elections and that his teaming support base across Bayelsa State is committed to the APC and they shall remain resolute to the ideals of the party.
