Dr. Tonye Okio, the Federal Commissioner representing Bayelsa State at the Federal Character Commission, has extended a heartfelt birthday message to Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director and CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as he marks his 50th birthday.
Dr. Okio’s message highlighted Dr. Ogbuku’s impactful leadership and the significant transformation witnessed under his tenure.
In his statement, Dr. Okio described Dr. Ogbuku as a “true son of the soil” and praised his visionary approach to redefining the NDDC’s mandate, emphasizing that the celebrant has brought a “renewed sense of hope and progress” to the Niger Delta region.

The Federal Commissioner acknowledged Dr. Ogbuku’s dedication to youth empowerment, citing scholarship programs and skill acquisition initiatives, mentioning that these efforts, which were celebrated during the recent NDDC at 25 anniversary, are actively creating a new generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
