If EFCC Wants To Invite Me, They’ll Stay In Rivers State For 6 Months; Let Them Invite Me—Wike

During an interview with TVC , the former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, stated that he’s not afraid to be invited by the EFCC, pointing out that if they want to invite him, they’ll stay in Rivers State for 6 months. He revealed that he spent Rivers State money judiciously in completing the various projects of the state.

Wike further stated that the money he used to bring Julius Berget to complete 12 flyovers is equally huge. He added that he can move around the state without security because he has done well for his people. He revealed that if it were his first term and he built the 12 flyovers, people would say it was because he wanted to run for a second term.

According to him, “I tell people to look at me as a second-term governor. If it had been my first term, you would have said he was looking for a second term. I brought Julius Berger to do 12 flyovers; do you know how much it is? I could have as well pocketed that money. But for Christ’s sake, how do you feel seeing how your state is and having money in your pocket? I told you before that I’d leave this state without carrying security everywhere. And I told you I’m not going to run away from this state. How many governors can you now see visibly come out? How many people? If the EFCC wants to invite me, they’ll stay in Rivers State for 6 months, and they’ll take them from project to project. Look at what we did here. Let them invite me; I’m not afraid of that.”
