Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

The All Progressives Congress, or APC, would lose if President Muhammadu Buhari insists on holding a free and fair election in 2023, according to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

In 2023, if Buhari insists on a free and fair election, Wike predicted that the APC will lose.

Wike praised the president for his promise not to meddle in the 2023 election while speaking at the official start of construction work on the Igwuruta internal roads in the State’s Ikwerre Local Government Area.

“I thank Mr. President that he wants to leave a legacy of organizing a free and fair election,” Wike reportedly said.

“Thank God, Mr. President, for declaring that you won’t impede anyone’s rights or frighten them. Therefore, your party has little chance of succeeding.

Buhari had pledged on Tuesday to make sure Nigerians’ ballots in 2023 will be counted.

In the upcoming election, he declared that Nigerians would be able to choose their leaders at all levels.

According to Buhari, the APC will gain Nigerians’ respect during the next six months.
