Amid controversies that Tinubu went to France for a vacation after he was announced President-elect, former APC national youth leader, Ismael Ahmed has come out to say that in 2015, President Buhari also went to London for a private trip after he was elected but before being sworn in
Speaking further, during a live session with Channels TV, Ahmed noted that Tinubu had an intensive campaign, thus he deserves to get some rest.
“Tinubu had a foreign trip and he needed some time to rest. There is no candidate that worked hard like Tinubu. Since we flagged off the compaign towards the end of September it has been a marathon, we have been going from one place to the other. We went to all the states. It was an intensive 5-month of campaign. We did the rallies, town hall meetings and met with people. It was an intensive work”
I remember in 2015 with President Buhari after he was elected before he was sworn in, he took a private trip to London. When he came back, some people including me went to the international airport to welcome him back. It’s normal and unusual”
