Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

In Lagos, Nigeria, police have detained a 21-year-old mechanic named Monday Nnime for allegedly killing his brother with a knife.

On September 7, after the killing of John Okoh, 28, Nnime was captured by agents with the Denton Police Division, Ebute Meta.

He is accused of using a broken bottle to stab the deceased in the neck during an altercation over N1,500 at their place of business on Sam Freeman Road.

The Nation learned that a client had given Okoh N1,500 after hiring him to fix his car, but the suspect demanded an equal split of the money.

Okoh was transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Meta, for treatment, according to police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin, but the attending physician there declared him dead.
