INEC Chairman swears-in two REC

TRACKING____The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu has sworn-in two Resident Commissioners (REC) recently appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari and confirmed by the Senate.

The two RECs are Umar Gajiram from Borno State and Johnson Aiaiibo from Bayelsa. The appointment of Gajiram followed the death of Baba Yusuf who was REC for Taraba State.

On the other hand, Aiaiibo is appointed to replace Frankland Briyai who resigned as Cross River REC to contest for the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship primaries for Bayelsa state.

In his address, INEC Chairman, Yakubu announvt that Gajiram has been deployed to Taraba while
Aiaiibo has been deployed to Cross River State.
