Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
The Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, NHFSS, vowed yesterday to apprehend criminals hiding in forest reserves across the country.
“We are ready to go into the forests to flush out criminals,” said the group’s Commander, Emmanuel Adedayo, in Akure. We do not compete with other organizations, but rather seek to supplement their efforts.
“We will continue to provide intelligence to support all ongoing security agency efforts to rid the states of banditry,” the statement said.
“The time has come for everyone to pitch in. We cannot entrust the government with everything.
“As an organization whose primary mission is to protect lives and property in the forest, NHFSS has stepped forward to lend a helping hand and collaborate with other security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property.”
