Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,

The Special Counsel to the Coordinator of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, identified as Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, has mocked the Presidency over a comment that Buhari is keen to finish his tenure and bow out of office.

Recall our earlier reports that President Buhari claimed that the presidency has been tough and he is eager to leave office in 2023 as published on Monday.

Buhari made it known in Daura, Katsina State, while receiving some governors, political chieftains and lawmakers who are from his ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his residence.

“I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making.”

In a bitter reaction to the development, Ejimakor Esq. went to his Twitter handle a day after in the twilight of Tuesday to berate the president over his statement.

The legal practitioner argued that the country is beyond tough and has been sharply divided along ethnic and religious lines.

He advised that running away from duties would not fill the loopholes confronting Nigeria but to summon the will to put Nigeria to a vote.

“Buhari cries out: ‘I am eager to go, Nigeria has been tough’. No sir. Nigeria is beyond tough; it’s irredeemably divided along ethnic & religious lines. And the fix is not to ‘cut & run’ but to summon the will to put Nigeria to a vote,” he wrote.
