Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has stated that while Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has a strong online presence, it will not be enough to win the 2023 election.
According to Fayose, Obi would require up to $50 billion dollars to ‘build structure’ and win the presidential election in 2023.
While the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, has popularity, money, and structure, Obi is the most popular on social media, according to him, social media popularity alone will not win the former Anambra State Governor the election.
Fayose said in a video posted on social media that Obi needs structure and money to become Nigeria’s next president.
“Obi is the most popular of all the candidates,” he said. He will win if we vote on social media today. However, an election is structured. Obi will therefore require N50 billion to make that government a reality. Obi will win with $50 billion.
“Remember, Tinubu is also quite popular.” He has what is known as structure. The structure itself is worth $50 billion. He possesses what is known as goodwill. He’s known as ‘The City Boy.’ So ‘where his money doesn’t fit, his structure does, and where his structure doesn’t fit, his popularity does.
“With fifty billion dollars, Obi will be able to buy his own army to defeat Tinubu.”
