It has taken me a long time to love my brown skin, I have to remind myself how beautiful I’m – Tiwa Savage

Browned skinned people are beautiful both inside and out, but society has made many believe that only those with light skin are beautiful or the curly haired girl is strange. So many result into bleaching their skin to become what they believe is beauty.
This is the reason so many people in the entertainment industry are accused of bleaching their skins to become light skinned.
Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she sometimes find it hard to believe in her beauty. She revealed that it took her a long time to accept her brown skin and she still has to remind herself that she is beautiful.
Tiwa Savage further added that she tells herself that she is beautiful because she believes that God doesn’t make mistakes.
On an Instagram post, she wrote: “It has taken me a long time to love my brown skin and sometimes I still have to remind myself how beautiful I am because God doesn’t make mistakes #loveyourself.”
It is strange to see that a woman as beautiful as the Love Love crooner would have beauty insecurity issues just like any other woman. This just shows that no one is perfect, everyone is just doing their best to live.
Meanwhile, TRACK NEWS had earlier reported that some Nigerians had noticed that Ciara sampled Tiwa Savage’s song Before Nko from the R.E.D album, in her recently released single Freak Me featuring Tekno.
In a swift reaction, the American singer tweeted on Friday, August 10, thanking Tiwa on the inspiration and the sample used in the song.
