PSquare twin Peter Okoye aka Mr P has said one major line from the National pledge can be discerned by Nigerians only after they’ve gone through two phases.
He stated only after the completion of two phases can a Nigeria really understand why the phrase, ‘So help me God’ was added to the pledge.
According to Mr P, the phrase can only be understood by Nigerians after they’ve gone through tertiary institution and rounded up their one year mandatory service to the nation (National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
“Once you finish university and NYSC in Nigeria, you’ll know the reason why, “So help me God” was added to the National pledge,” the 40-year-old musician said.
