TRACKING____The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone has frowned at the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) recent attitude in Bayelsa State for the retrogressive nature of electricity supply in the State.
In a statement made available to TrackNews by the Information Officer IYC Central Zone Comr. Kurobo Kockman. Said the
Chairman of the Zone, Comr. Kennedy Olorogun on behalf of Ijaw Youths in the State lamented, these was not the initial demands made by IYC to PHEDC, noting from the recent locked down of their Office at Yenegoa.
Comr. Olorogun stressed, PHEDC promised to give at least 12 hours uninterrupted power supply in Yenagoa and it’s surroundings, and also to progress as time goes on, but unfortunately the opposite is what Bayelsa light Consumers are experiencing from PHEDC. Chairman IYC promised to take the next line of action two weeks from now after holding a meeting in respect of these.
He also urges light Consumers to pay their NEPA Bill as to further encourage them as a Council in fighting against PHEDC over their maltreatment of our people by paying for darkness.
