The Board and Management of Izon Microfinance Bank Limited have congratulated the Governor of Bayelsa state Senator Douye Diri on the ocassion of his 5th anniversary for delivering on his prosperity ASSURED agenda to the people of Bayelsa state and lauded the Governor on several progressive development strides.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr. Ayakeme Whisky, who is also a frontline advocate for the prosperity government, he commended the Governor for the several life changing projects and programs the administration has delivered within the period of five years, noting that the emergence of Governor Douye Diri is indeed divinely ordained. Dr. Whisky commended the administration for the recent commissioning of hemodialysis centre and out-patient unit in the resuscitated 500 bed hospitals in the Bayelsa Medical University to improve the health services in the state.
Dr Ayakeme Whisky acknowledged that the massive face-lift of Yenagoa with the completion of some dualised internal roads, noting that this is a significant milestone in achieving the prosperity agenda.
The on-going Oporoma bridge, Oporoma -Ukubie road, Nembe-Brass road and several other turn-key projects across the state are fundamental to improving the general infrastructure challenges of Ijaw nation.
The Governor’s promise to launch the commencement of the Ekeremor-Agge road is most heartening as it has the potentials of unleashing the bounties of the Blue economy to upscale economic opportunities for the state, in addition to easing communication difficulties for residents in communities near the ocean. That is one major road that will launch the state and indeed the Ijaw nation into the comity of developed nations, connected with a network of accessible highways.
The Chairman, on behalf of the Board and management of the bank, prays for God’s continued blessing of wisdom and courage for the Governor to always do what is right for the sustainable development and growth of the state. It is our wish that the promise to install our own 60MW turbine to improve the electric power situation to galvanize socio-economic activities in the state is another most remarkable achievement for the benefit of all residents.
